当会の目的 AIMS OF THE ASSOCIATION
日本ボドリアン友の会の目的は以下に定める。
1. 国際的な学問の場としてのボドリアン図書館と共通の関心を分かち合う人々のために、日本国内にボドリアン図書館とのリンクを提供すること。
2. ボドリアン図書館と日本の教育・研究機関、図書館、企業やその他の組織とのつながりを促進すること。
3. ボドリアン図書館でおこなわれている図書の保存・収集、とりわけ日本に関する蔵書のために、支援あるいは貢献する様々な方法を模索すること。
The aims of the Japanese Friends of the Bodleian are;
1. To provide a link in Japan for those who share a common interest in
the Bodleian Library as an international centre of learning.
2. To promote links between the Bodleian Library and academic, library,
corporate and other institutions in Japan.
3. To seek ways of supporting and contributing to the work of preservation
and acquisition carried on by the library and in particular its body of
knowledge on Japan.
会の名称と設置 NAME AND SEAT OF THE ASSOCIATION
当会の名称は "The Japanese Friends of the Bodleian"（日本ボドリアン友の会）とし、本部は東京に設置する。
The name of the association shall be the Japanese Friends of the Bodleian. The seat of the association shall be in Tokyo.
会員資格 MEMBERSHIP
当会はボドリアン図書館を利用したことのある人、あるいはボドリアン図書館の趣旨に賛同する人の全てを会員として迎える。会員資格は個人とし、毎年更新される。
The association welcomes as members all who have used the Bodleian or have an interest in its work. Memberships are individual and annually renewable.
会員カード MEMBERSHIP CARD
年会費は5,000円とする。会員は年二回（春・秋）にオックスフォード発行の会報が送られる。有効な会員カードの提示により、ボドリアン図書館およびその付属の図書館の閲覧証を申請することが出来る。この際、図書館の通常の申請手続きを経て、閲覧証が無料で発行される。ボドリアン・ショップのほとんどの商品の購入にたいして、10％の割引が適用される。
Membership dues are 5000 yen a year. Members receive a Newsletter from Oxford twice a year. On presentation of a current membership card, Friends may claim a reader's card to use the Bodleian Library & its dependent libraries, without charge (subject to the Library's normal admission requirements). A 10 per cent discount is obtainable in person or by post, on most purchases from the Library's shop.
委員会 COMMITTEE
委員会は5－10名の会員によって構成され、当会の利害と企図を尊重するよう義務づけられている。委員会は当会の目的を促進することに責任を負い、会員にたいし年次会計報告を提出することにも責任を負う。
The committee shall consist of 5-10 members giving due regard to the interests and objectives of the society. It will be responsible for promoting the aims of the Association and for presenting an annual financial report to the membership.
総会 GENERAL MEETING
当会に関する活動やその他の用件を議論する場として年次総会が開かれる。
There shall be an annual general meeting to discuss the activities and any other business relating to the association.
